To those offended by my hastily wrought comment posted on the recent anti-gay tirade video, I would like to apologise for my thoughtless inconsideration. I did, however, find it a bit queer that I was immediately branded a troll, whereas I have had a rather long week, just getting home after another 12-hour work day today. So, perhaps that had something to do with my straight to-the-point comment.
For what it's worth, I have had many successful working relationships with relatively normal switch hitters. For example, one gay boss I would frequently greet with "hola nina!", and he never seemed to mind. So there.

PS: Maybe you should watch this next time you feel like any thoughts you have, really do matter at all.
But I'm sure your apology to the gay-sift community is appreciated.
My uncle is gay, and if you were to use those same hateful words that you used to his face then I'd probably clock you. Seriously. I'm not prone to violence, but I'm also not prone to lying down for hateful speech such as yours. To paraphrase what rottenseed said, to let race, religion, or sexual orientation alone define an individual is abhorrent.
I still appreciate that you're willing to come forward and own up to what you said, but you still have a way to go. If this isn't acceptable to you I really don't care, because I'm not the one who blurted out shit against homosexuals in the first place.
Like rottenseed and Bleedingsnowman already said, if that's your gut feeling then that's pretty pathetic in the grand scheme of human conflict, and having one gay person who "doesn't seem to mind" your gay jokes doesn't mean you can bash an entire group of people without risk of repercussion. So, apology not accepted. If you want to believe something that is considered immoral and is also factually incorrect, and comment about those beliefs, then that's your decision, but don't expect it, or any subsequent "apology", to go over well with homosexuals and tolerant heterosexuals.
I don't care for bigots, personally. I don't like it when someone labels someone with intended malice. I'd love for all of us to coexist without hate in our hearts. But, what a terrible world it would be if all of our good words like queer, fag and homo were taken away from us because we were afraid of bigots using them. Sometimes the use of those words isn't necessarily meant to be hate speech. They're perfectly good words.
The comment you made in the offending thread seemed nothing but ugly and hateful to me. Why not call your gay boss an illegitimate queer loser? I'm sure that would go over really well. I don't think that boss-if he could see the schmucky comment you made- would look very kindly on it, really. Think about it.
Edit: That said, I also should add that I appreciate your effort at an apology.
his choice of adjectives was obviously no accident,
but maybe he was just trying to be clever.
at any rate, capn, there's no reason to feign acceptance now.
you already made it perfectly clear, what you actually think.
and you're entitled to think whatever the fuck you want, of course.
and we're entitled to laugh, in reply.
at what many of us see as intellectual & sexual insecurity.
and tell you so. but, because we're not asshats, we'll also try to help you.
so, youngling, please think (honestly, with an open mind, and dump the ego)
about the following 3 items:
1. (the biological approach, since it was your primary argument initially)
ok. so, you've managed to think of the easiest reason,
why biology wouldn't favor homo- or bi-sexuality.
congrats. now, stop being intellectually lazy, and use your brain the way you're clearly capable of. tell me 3 reasons why biology would favor bisexuality.
2. (the funny-but-true approach)
if there were anyone, that would do (or pay) *anything*, to un-gayify another human being, that someone would be Dick Cheney.
3. (personal experience)
have you ever been in love? i mean really. because i have, once.
and you'll find most people who have, agree on this: you don't choose, who you fall in love with.
peace @ 4:20

Otherwise, your apology is good enough for me, and I respect you for doing so.
Having a "long week" doesn't excuse that kind of comment in any way. The fact that you mention that as some kind of justification for your behaviour cries cognitive dissonance. I've no idea if, as others guess, this is just a huge "joke" to you, but if it is, how utterly contemptible a person you must be to take delight in the misery of others.
Also, to practically everyone else who commented in that original thread, and here... you throw some sparks on the dying fire of my hope for humanity. ♥

ahh yes. the element of surprise...
with fantasic makeup!
I believe he was being sarcastic in his apology. It's evident when he says things like "I find it a bit queer" and "my straight to-the-point comment" when giving his apology. I also don't believe he ever had a gay boss he called "nina", either. He's pulling all of our legs, hence the parody tag.
Wow I forgot this thread existed...thanks for the quality there, ORly?, even though your avatar is um...ya.
No Mr. Blankfist, I had a boss that I specifically would greet with "Hola Nina!" True story.
